David Rudnick's typeface work is especially intriguing and current, through the meshing of futuristic forms and blackletter style type. This combination creates an interesting juxtaposition between new and old. Rudnick's work has a sci-fi edge and retro aesthetic, using glow, renaissance and historical imagery and colour.
Within my own work I want to also achieve a level of traditional and contemporary treatments to create a similar contrast, which will appeal to a young/adult demographic through experimentation of type and relevant imagery.
