COP 03 / Primary Research / The Church

To gain a wider understanding behind the reasoning for having the Church as a club venue, and why they chose to continue the whole theme of religion, I messaged The Church in Leeds and asked some questions:
  • Why did you choose to use a church as the venue?
  • Do you think using religion as part of your brand is effective?
  • Do you think these techniques could be applied to actual religious establishments?
The Church got back to me with the answer to these questions:

It seems that the Church have used religious themes in their branding purely to represent the building. In pushing the theme further they successfully reinforce a consistent brand, and have their own niche. Although it is still interesting that a Church would be converted into a club, after being such a sacred space.
